Black Welsh Mountain - Herriard Park |
Black Welsh Mountain sheep are, as their name suggests, an old Welsh upland breed. They are small and hardy, needing little care and medication, with an ability to thrive on poor pasture. They lamb easily and are excellent mothers. The Herriard flock is the oldest registered flock in the U.K. and was established before the First World War in 1908.

The meat is richer, sweeter and has more fat than modern commercial breeds and those that have tried it normally ask where it can be purchased! |
Whole and half lambs are supplied, expertly butchered and
labelled, bagged, ready for the freezer.
